North Africa in Crisis

Over the four days of this campaign we will provide content covering the entire prayer cycle. Today we will focus on the last three: meditate, listen, and praise.

Meditate (5 minutes)

Ask the Lord to speak to you. Have a pen and paper ready for impressions He gives you in how to pray for Morocco and Libya.

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.” –2 Corinthians 4:7-11

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” –2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Listen (5 minutes)

Spend time merging the things you have read, prayed, and sung over the last three days to see how the Lord brings them all together to speak to you for Morocco and Libya in the midst of hard times.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” –Matthew 11:28-29

Praise (5 minutes)

Praise the Lord for this time to spend with Him and the impressions He has given you. Praise Him for His glorious attributes. Praise Him for what He wants to do in Morocco and Libya in the midst of these disasters.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” –James 1:2-5

Prayer Requests from Libya:

• Pray for those who are seeking hope and have not yet found it in Islam. Pray for opportunities to hear about Jesus.
• Even in other parts of the country, many things are closed this week in solidarity with the East. As people have extra time, pray they would reflect deeply and even meet Jesus in that time of reflection.
